If you are a contractor in the construction industry and you employ subcontractors then you have a legal obligation to deduct tax and National Insurance from subcontractors’ wages each week or month. The Financial Management Centre has established a CIS payroll service which helps our clients avoid HMRC fines following a failure to comply with CIS rules.

The Financial Management Centre represents contractors and subcontractors alike who seek to ensure HMRC rules relating to CIS are followed correctly. When a subcontractor applies to be a CIS self-employed worker a UTR (Unique Tax Reference Number) will be issued to him or her by HMRC. This UTR allows the team here at The Financial Management Centre to deduct the correct amount of CIS tax from your or your subcontractors payments each month.
